Knaresborough join the Yorkshire 2019 Cycling Celebrations
In September 2019, the eyes of the world will be on Yorkshire as God’s Own County hosts the UCI Road World Championships. It’s the first time that the championships have come to Yorkshire and the fourth time Great Britain has hosted them – with the championships last coming to these shores in 1982 in Goodwood.
However, Yorkshire isn’t just about cycling. Yorkshire is rich and diverse, with so much going on that it is difficult to keep up.
That’s what Earn Your Stripes is all about. It’s here to introduce you to all that magnificent Yorkshire has to offer and The Paul Mirfin Band will be on the line up for an all day music extravaganza at Knaresborough Castle on Saturday 21st September.
CULTURE
To start off with we look at the county’s bright and vibrant cultural scene. From sculpture to dance, literature to festivals, Yorkshire is jam packed with world class arts and culture and this film gives just a small snippet of what you can expect year round in God’s Own County.
